Dr. Aaron Sitzmann graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2006 and started working at our clinic that same year. He has treated dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas, snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, and wildlife. He will work with most exotic animals and wildlife, except for primates and venomous animals. He has an interest in small animal internal medicine and dermatology. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA). He is a past member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV). He lives in Council Bluffs with his two children, Dalton and Elayne Jade, his cat (Shadow), a Russian tortoise (Natalya), and a German Shepard named Loki. His pastimes include: attending church, camping, reading, and bicycling.
