Dr. Steven Michael graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He started working at the Council Bluffs Veterinary Clinic in 2001. Dr. Michael is a member of both the IVMA and the AVMA. His hobbies include: hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, and a number of other outdoor activities.
Dr. Aaron Sitzmann graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2006 and started working at our clinic that same year. He has treated dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas, snakes, lizards, turtles, and tortoises. He will work with most exotic animals, except for primates and venomous animals. He has an interest in small animal internal medicine and dermatology. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA). His pastimes include: attending church, camping, reading, and bicycling.
Dr. Kelsey Whalen graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine is 2019. Kelsey originally began working in the clinic as a kennel attendant while in high school. She worked in the front office as receptionist, as well as a technician. After finishing school, she returned to us and began her career as an Associate Veterinarian. Kelsey and her husband, live here in Council Bluffs with their dogs, cat and a chameleon. She likes to craft, make cocktails, shop at HomeGoods/TJMaxx, off-roading and hanging out with friends.
